Auf dem Blog von Alex Roxburgh und Chris Erdman (Bild) habe ich folgenden Post gefunden(Auszug):
Preaching forms the world. I can’t put that strongly enough. Preaching is about using words in a daring act of creation. It’s true that we preach good news, but preaching is more than that—preaching itself is good news. Because of preaching there is a future for the world. Preaching is partnering with God in the creation of a world aligned with God, formed according to the Rule of God, reordered, harmonized, whole, new-born. We don’t dare underestimate the power of the words we utter. The Bible doesn’t. “God spoke,” Genesis tells us and the world was created. Preaching is creative. When you preach you are uttering the grammar of life—the syntax of God’s new world. And it is because of these words—offered even by the littlest of preachers, the most obscure handlers of the text, who live and witness in places where they can only whisper a sermon—it is because of these words, daringly uttered, that empires topple and God’s new world is born.
Lest den Post mal ganz – er hält die Predigt sehr hoch, ohne wie ich finde dabei andere Predigtformen auszuschliessen. Mal wieder ein Zwischengedanke zum Predigen – das Thema beschäftigt mich immer noch.
