„Transforming mission“ von David J. Bosch
Das Buch in dem vieles vorgedacht ist, was ich inzwischen in vielen anderen Büchern (z.B. „shaping of things to come“ von Michael Frost, Alan Hirsch) wiedergefunden habe.
Was ist Mission – wie hat Mission in der Zeit Jesu und den Aposteln funktioniert und wie soll sie zukünftig aussehen?
Bosch, der kurz nach dem Erscheinen des Buches in einem Autounfall ums Lebe kam (1992) teilt das Buch in drei Teile:
- Modelle für Mission nach dem Neuen Testament (Besonderer Fokus auf dem NT als missionarischem Dokument, Matthäus, Lukas/Apostelgeschichte und Paulus)
- Historische Paradigmen der Mission (Antike, Mittelalter, Reformationszeit/während und nach der Aufklärung)
- Schritte zu einer relevante Missiologie: The emergence of a postmodern paradigm
Bosch hat schon früh vorausgesehen, dass die Zeiten sich ändern und Mission sich eben auch ändern muss. Brillant! Wenn Ihr auf der Suche nach den Anfängen von Emerging Church seid, dann ist es das Buch für Euch. Man kann von diesem geballten Wissen nur profitieren und einen breiteren Horizont für die Entwicklung von neuen Formen von Mission gewinnen.

Bosch was a prophet of a cultural shift and he worked toward a shift in missions. Brilliant – ahead of his time. If you are searching for the roots of emerging church, than this is a important book. I have gained a lot reading it and you will, too. Getting the big picture behind new modes of mission and the paradigm shift was a eyeopener for me.
