Wie begegnet man dem? Wir haben gestern einen Abend über Schwangerschaft gemacht – gleitet hat mich dabei Kester Brewin’s Buch „The complex christ“. Langsam, warten, schwanger sein mit einer Idee, mit Gedanken und Fragen, offenen Fragen.
Was will Gott mit diesem Platz? Was wir wollen ist kontrovers(vom Cafe bis zum Gottesdienstplatz), aber völlig unwichtig. Die offene Frage ist, wie Gott Gestalt gewinnen kann.
Das Bild von Schwangerschaft und Geburt passt einfach gut. Wir sind schwanger mit einer Idee, einem Wunsch, einer Hoffnung – Gott soll für uns und andere relevant werden, erfahrbar, erlebbar, verstehbar.
Welche konkreten Formen das annehmen wird, wissen wir noch nicht. Darum war es wichtig die Frage als Abschluss zu haben: Um was geht es Gott in dieser Geschichte, wie werden wir uns verändern, wie viel Möglichkeiten hat Gott uns zu verändern?
Schwangerschaft ist eine langwierige Sache und Geburten manchmal auch. Unsere Leitungsgremien im CVJM fordern Ultraschallbilder und sorgen sich um das Kinderbett und die Erziehung.
Aber wie kann man jetzt schon sagen was sein wird, wenn nur weiß: Es wird ein neues Leben geboren? Das ist das erste Kind von @home und es wird seinen eigenen Charakter haben. Es gab mal einen König, der anders aussah und in einer Krippe und einem Stall sein Kinderbettchen gefunden hat. Ich bin gespannt, was am Ende dieser Schwangerschaft stehen wird. How to deal with it? We had an evening yesterday about pregnancy – the thoughts came from Brewins Book „The complex christ“ be patient, wait, endure pregnancy and be pregnant with a vision, with thoughts and questions, unanswered ones at that.
What is it, that god wants with this place? Our Ideas are oppositional (from church to Cafe), but not really important. The relevant question is: How god can incarnate there.
The allegory of pregnancy fits, we are pregnant with hope and dreams – god – relevant for us and our culture. How this will be, we don’t know yet, therefore a question marked the end of our meeting yesterday: What does god really want, how can god change us and will we give him the opportunity to do so? Pregnancy is a thing of time, our Leaders at YMCA Karlsruhe want to have Supersonic Pictures taken, to glimpse what will be and to ensure that the education is right and the crib ready, but how to tell what will be if all you know is: A new life will be born? It’s the first child of athome and it will have it’s own character. There once was a king who didn’t look like it, in a manger in a stable. I’m curious what the end of this pregnancy will be.
